back in my sneakers again

A side effect (I guess) of all this freaking running: I am hungry. ALL. THE. TIME.

I am trying to eat healthy, but it is really hard when you feel like you could devour a large pizza at any given time, day or night.

I have lost SOME weight, but it’s not like I suddenly look like a pre-baby Nicole Richie. I think my body may be trying to trick me into eating more than it needs. If I am wrong, and I suddenly drop another 15 or 20 pounds? Well, Hollywood here I come! (Right).

I am scared that I may be nursing an achilles injury (left leg) in other news. I am taking today off because coming this far and getting injured would REALLY, REALLY stink.

Training for a marathon really consumes your life.  It is all I want to talk about and I am constantly thinking about it.  Even on the two days a week I don’t run, I am thinking about running.  I suspect I am really starting to get on my loved ones’ nerves.  At least my husband is in the same boat.

After a tough couple of weeks with lots of hills and mileage, we are recuperating this week.  Eighteen miles on Sunday felt easy after sixteen and a half in some of the hilliest areas of town, but ten on Saturday will be a much-needed break.
