My friend Kirstin (who, incidentally, now lives in Switzerland and is probably now, at this very moment, doing something completely fabulous and exotic in some charming town in the European countryside) offhandedly suggested that I start a blog to keep up with far-away friends. Because I occasionally take suggestions, I am following her suggestion. Of course, she is an amazing writer and I am not, so I will probably never even tell her about MY blog.
So, here we go.
The blog title? Well, I like to run, and I am a mama, to a little boy who has provided me with endless amusement every day since he was born in July 2006. I cannot believe how lucky, how BLESSED we are to have him. I am pregnant AGAIN with our second child, due July 13. Apparently, we are only fertile in the month of October.
Also, I am pretty seriously considering training for a half-marathon. have now trained for (and completed) a half-marathon (1:57) and am finishing up training for my have completed first full marathon in Eugene, OR (in 4 hours, 37 minutes, and 50 something seconds). There will be probably be a lot of posts, about random, boring crap that only interests me, but I also promise to provide Charlie updates, whenever I see fit.
